Make New Zealand Visa Photo
Immigration New Zealand accepts a 35x45mm photo on a plain light background, following the standard ICAO layout. Most visa applications are lodged online, so a digital file is what you need.
Make Singapore Visa Photo
Singapore's ICA asks for a recent 35x45mm colour photo on a plain white background. Applications are usually submitted online through an authorised agent, so you need a digital file.
South Korean Visa Photo
Generate a compliant 35x45mm biometric photo for South Korean Visa applications. We strictly adhere to official government composition rules.
Make US Visa Photo (DS-160)
Generate a compliant 2x2 inch biometric photo suitable for US Visa applications (DS-160, DS-260). We strictly adhere to Department of State regulations.
Make Iraq Visa Photo
Iraq asks for a visa application form with two photographs. It does not publish a size for them, so this page uses the 35x45mm frame Iraq states for its own passport as a working default — and says so rather than inventing a figure.
Make Serbia Visa Photo
Serbia's foreign ministry lists the photo as 3.5x4.5cm. Before you make one, check whether you need a visa at all — holding a Schengen, UK, EU or US visa or residence permit lets many travellers enter visa-free for 90 days.
Make Botswana Visa Photo
28mm by 36mm, and no more than 30 kilobytes. Both figures are unusual — the frame is smaller than any other on this site, and the file limit is among the tightest anywhere.
Make Iran Visa Photo
Iran specifies pixels rather than millimetres: at least 400 x 600, with your face filling about 70-80% of it. The file must be a JPEG under 500 kB — and over 10 kB, because an over-compressed photo is refused too.
Make Ireland Visa Photo
Ireland states a range rather than one size: 45-50mm tall by 35-38mm wide, with your face filling 70-80% of it. Two identical prints, and the back of each has to be white and unglazed because you write on it.
Canada eTA Photo: You Don't Need One
An eTA application collects no photograph. Canada's own list of what you need is a valid passport from a visa-exempt country, an email address and a card. It costs CAN$7 and most applications are approved within minutes.
Make NZeTA Photo
New Zealand uses one standard for visas and the NZeTA alike. Online it wants a JPG between 512KB and 3.14MB — a minimum file size, which is unusual — and it explicitly refuses photos where the background has been replaced.
Make K-ETA Photo
K-ETA takes a photo upload, but Korea publishes no dimensions for it. What it does state is the rule that matters most in practice: religious dress is fine as long as your face is clearly visible from forehead to chin.
ESTA Photo
ESTA now asks for one. CBP lists a traveler's selfie photo among what you need to apply — which is new, because for years ESTA collected no image at all. CBP publishes no dimensions for it, so a studio passport print is not what this is asking for.
Make Schengen Visa Photo
Generate a compliant 35x45 mm biometric photo suitable for Schengen Area visa applications. Strictly adheres to EU Visa Code and ICAO standards.
Make India Visa Photo
Generate a compliant 2x2 inch (51x51mm) biometric photo for Indian Online Visa and VFS applications. Our tool strictly adheres to official Government of India requirements.
Make Japan Visa Photo
Generate a compliant 35x45mm biometric photo for Japanese visa applications, matching Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) requirements.
UK Visa Photo
You do not supply a photo for a UK visa. You apply online, then attend a visa application centre where your fingerprints and facial image are captured on the spot. If you are visa-exempt and need an ETA instead, that one does need a photo from you.
Make Australia Visa Photo
Generate a compliant 35x45mm photo for an Australian visa application. Home Affairs asks for a neutral or light grey background that contrasts with your face — not white — and wants the photo left unedited.
Make Canada Visa Photo
Generate a compliant 50x70mm photo for a Canadian visa or eTA-related application, matching IRCC rules.
Make China Visa Photo
Generate a compliant 33x48mm photo for a Chinese visa application, matching official embassy and consulate requirements.
ETIAS Photo: You Don't Need One
ETIAS does not take a photograph. The European Commission's own guidance is titled "Applying for ETIAS: no health information or biometrics needed" — the application asks for personal details, passport data and travel history, and nothing else. Your face is recorded at the border instead, by a different system.
Make Brazil Visa Photo
Generate a compliant 35x45mm photo for a Brazilian eVisa or consular visa application — a different size from the larger Brazilian passport photo format.
Make Philippines Visa Photo
Generate a compliant 2x2 inch (51x51mm) photo for a Philippine visa application, matching the standard consular photo requirements.
Make Nigeria Visa Photo
Generate a compliant 2x2 inch (51x51mm) photo for a Nigerian visa application.
Make Moldova Visa Photo
Moldova asks for 'a recent mat, colour photo 35mm x 45mm' — the same wording across every visa type. The word 'mat' matters: it means a matte print, not glossy.
Make Rwanda Visa Photo
Rwanda's visa application asks for a scanned photo with a white background in JPG under 500KB — and states no size at all. This tool gives you a clean passport-style crop that satisfies what Rwanda does specify.
Make Uganda Visa Photo
Uganda's e-visa asks for a 'recent passport-size photograph taken in the last 6 months' and states no dimensions. The face that ends up on record is captured in person — this photo is for the application file.
Make Mexico Visa Photo
Generate the 30 x 35mm colour photo the Mexican visa application asks for — one photo, white background, face uncovered, no glasses. Mexican consulates state different sizes, so check yours before printing.
Make Saudi Arabia eVisa Photo
Generate a compliant 200x200px eVisa photo for Saudi Arabia (visitsaudi.com), with a white background and correct face-to-frame ratio — sized and compressed automatically.
Make UAE Visa Photo
The UAE visa photo is 43x55mm on a pure white background, with your face filling 70-80% of the frame. This is not the same size as the Emirates ID photo.
Make Qatar Visa Photo
Qatar visa and Hayya card photos use the 30x40mm (3x4cm) format on a plain light background, uploaded as a JPEG through the Hayya platform.
Make Türkiye Visa Photo
Türkiye uses a 50x60mm (5x6cm) biometric photo on a plain white background — not the 35x45mm size most countries ask for.
Make Thailand Visa Photo
Thailand visa applications use a 35x45mm colour photo on a plain background. Most applications now go through the Thai e-Visa portal as a digital upload.
Make Vietnam e-Visa Photo
The Vietnam e-visa needs a 4x6cm portrait photo on a white background, uploaded as a JPEG alongside a separate scan of your passport page.
Make Indonesia Visa Photo
Indonesia's e-visa portal takes a 4x6cm photo on a solid white background, at least 400x600 pixels and under 2MB.
Make Malaysia Visa Photo
Malaysia uses a 35x50mm photo on a pure white background — 5mm taller than the 35x45mm size most countries ask for.
Sri Lanka ETA Photo
Sri Lanka's ETA does not ask for a photograph. The online application has no upload field and the printed form has no photo box — you need your passport details and nothing else. A photo only comes up later, if you extend your stay.
Make Kenya eTA Photo
Kenya replaced visitor visas with an Electronic Travel Authorisation. The eTA takes a 35x45mm photo on a white background, uploaded as a JPEG.
Make South Africa Visa Photo
South African visa applications use a 35x45mm photo on a plain white or light grey background, printed at 600 DPI with a 32-36mm head. Check first that you need a visa at all — the ETA route takes a live picture inside the application instead.
Make Taiwan Visa Photo
Taiwan visa applications use a 35x45mm colour photo taken within the last six months, bareheaded and front-facing, with your ears visible.
Make Kuwait Visa Photo
Kuwait visa applications use a 35x45mm photo on a plain white background. Digital uploads are capped at 120KB, which is tighter than most portals.
Make Oman Visa Photo
Oman visa applications use a 4x6cm photo on a white background, uploaded through the Royal Oman Police eVisa portal.
Make Bahrain Visa Photo
Bahrain visa applications use a 4x6cm photo on a plain white background, submitted as a digital upload through the eVisa portal.
Make Egypt Visa Photo
Egypt's e-visa takes a 4x6cm photo on a plain white background, in colour, taken within the last six months.
Make Myanmar Visa Photo
Myanmar's e-visa uses an unusual 3.8x4.6cm photo and requires it to have been taken within the last three months — not the usual six.
Make Morocco Visa Photo
Morocco visa applications use a 35x45mm photo with a 32-36mm head. White, light grey and light blue backgrounds are all accepted.
Make Israel Visa Photo
Israeli entry visa applications take a 5x5cm square photo on a white background — two copies. Not the 35x45mm rectangle most of the region uses, and you cannot crop one into the other.
Make Azerbaijan Visa Photo
Azerbaijan's ASAN e-visa takes a 3x4cm photo on a plain white, non-reflective background, at 300 DPI or better. Applying at a mission instead? The Migration Code asks for two colour prints of that same 3x4cm.
Make Uzbekistan Visa Photo
Uzbekistan's e-visa takes a 35x45mm photo at 300 dpi, uploaded as a JPG under 1MB. The uploader checks the filename, so a JPEG saved as .jpeg is refused — it has to end in .jpg.
Make Ethiopia Visa Photo
Ethiopia's e-visa takes a 35x45mm photo on a white background at 600 DPI. The Ethiopian passport uses a different 3x4cm size.
Make Cambodia Visa Photo
Cambodia's e-visa takes a 35x45mm photo on a plain light background, under 1MB, submitted through the official evisa.gov.kh portal.
Make Tanzania Visa Photo
Tanzania's eVisa takes a colour photo of up to 45mm by 35mm on a plain background, as a JPG under 500KB.
Make Colombia Visa Photo
Colombia's online visa application takes a 3x4cm photo on a white background, with the head at least 30mm from chin to crown.
Make Russia Visa Photo
Russia's unified e-visa specifies a JPEG in a 35:45 rectangle with your face filling 70-80% of the frame — a ratio and a proportion rather than millimetres, because the file is uploaded rather than printed.
Make Nepal Visa Photo
Nepal's visa on arrival is filled in at the airport, so you need a printed 35x45mm photo in your hand — not a file on your phone.
Make Laos Visa Photo
Laos asks for a 4x6cm photo — taller than the 35x45mm most countries use, and stated outright on the official eVisa portal.
Make Zambia Visa Photo
Zambia's e-visa takes a standard 35x45mm photo on a plain background — and selfies are explicitly not accepted.
Make Bangladesh Visa Photo
The online form takes a 45mm x 35mm JPEG under 300KB and calls the upload optional — because you print the completed form and stick a physical photo on it. The print is the part that is not optional.
Make Mongolia Visa Photo
Mongolia's Consular Department lists a 3.5x4.5cm photo for every visa type and adds that the size is mandatory — the only dimension it states, and it states it three times.
Make Georgia Visa Photo
35x45mm with the head filling 70-80% of the frame. The e-visa portal takes a JPEG under 5MB — generous by comparison.
Make Jordan Visa Photo
35x45mm on plain white. Jordan publishes a head minimum of 33mm and asks for about 4mm of clearance above your hair, so the crop sits slightly tighter than the generic ICAO photo.
Make Pakistan Visa Photo
35x45mm on plain white for the NADRA online visa system. Because you upload rather than print, the rule that actually bites is the pixel floor — and glasses are not allowed at all.
Make Ghana Visa Photo
35x45mm on a plain light background. Ghana's own forms often just say "passport-size", and individual missions publish their own formats — so check your consulate's checklist against this before you print.
Make Hong Kong Visa Photo
40x50mm with the head at 32-36mm — the same frame as a Hong Kong passport photo. The rule people trip on is clothing: what you wear has to contrast with the background, so no white top on a white wall.
Make Maldives Visa Photo
35x45mm on a plain light background. Worth knowing first: most visitors get a free visa on arrival and need no photo at all — this frame is for work, business and resident permits.
Make UK ETA Photo
An ETA needs a new and live digital image of your face — GOV.UK states it must not be from a previously taken digital facial image, so the photo already in your passport specifically does not qualify. At least 600 x 750px, 50KB to 6MB, jpg.
