Most countries publish only an upper limit on file size. Morocco gives a range: roughly 200KB to 500KB. That means over-compressing a photo to make it small can fail the check just as an oversized file does.
In practice this rules out heavily compressed images pulled from messaging apps, which often land well under 200KB after the app has processed them. Work from the original file.
White, light grey or light blue.
Morocco is more permissive than most on background colour, accepting plain white, light grey and light blue. Whichever you use, it must be free of shadows, patterns and texture.
Light blue is worth knowing about if you already have photos taken for another country that uses it — but check the rest of the specification still matches before reusing them.
