On-Site Capture vs Your Own Photo
DMSU offices photograph you; consulates abroad usually do not.
Inside Ukraine, biometric photos are captured on site at State Migration Service (DMSU) offices and CNAP centres using standardised equipment, so applicants generally do not bring a photo.
For Ukrainians applying at a diplomatic mission abroad, self-supplied photos meeting the DMSU specification are usually required. That is the situation this page is written for, and it covers a very large number of people right now.
