When You Need Your Own Photo
Offices in Thailand photograph you; embassies abroad often ask you to bring one.
If you apply at a Department of Consular Affairs office inside Thailand, your photo and biometrics are captured on site as part of the appointment. You generally do not bring a photo at all.
Applying at a Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate abroad is where your own photo becomes useful, along with the supporting forms and copies some applications need. Check what your specific mission asks for before you travel to the appointment.
