The 35x50mm Frame

Five millimetres taller than the ICAO photo.

Malaysia's passport photo is 35mm wide by 50mm high, with the face filling 70-80% of the height from chin to crown.

This is the same size as the Malaysian visa photo, but different from the 35x45mm photo used by most of Europe, Australia and New Zealand. If you live abroad and get photos taken locally, tell the shop the height needs to be 50mm.
