Your JEE Main photo must be a recent, colored, passport-size (3.5cm x 4.5cm) photo with about 80% face coverage, both ears visible, and no mask or face covering. The background must be plain white with no shadows or patterns.

Save the file as a JPG or JPEG between 10KB and 200KB, and name it 'Photograph' as NTA's application portal expects.

The Separate Signature Requirement

JEE Main also requires a scanned signature — a step people often miss.

In addition to your photo, JEE Main requires a scanned image of your signature, signed on plain white paper, sized 3.5cm x 1.5cm, between 10KB and 100KB, and named 'Signature'.
