Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Has ETIAS launched?
Not yet. Its launch has been delayed multiple times; check the official ETIAS site for the current timeline before relying on any date.
Q. Will ETIAS require a photo?
Based on currently available information, yes — a digital facial photo is expected to be part of the application, similar to a Schengen visa photo.
Q. Is this the official ETIAS photo tool?
No. This is a preview based on the ICAO standard most similar systems use. We'll update it as soon as official requirements are published.
Q. Can I use my Schengen visa photo for ETIAS?
If the final requirements match the ICAO standard as expected, a compliant 35x45mm Schengen-style photo should also work for ETIAS — but always verify with the official source first.
